A CHRISTMAS CARD FROM THE 46TH NORTH MIDLAND DIVISION

Submitted By Chris Hunt

Note Below. The 46th (North Midland) Division was a Territorial Force formed in 1908 which saw service on the Western Front during the Great War. The above image has the Battle of Waterloo memorial to the right and what looks like Pit Heads. The Pit Heads are a reminder of the Battle of Loos in 1915 where the Division fought and where many Stamford lads died in the unsuccessful attempt to take and hold the Hohenzollern Redoubt.
