MOVE OF POLICE STATION FROM STAMFORD TOWN HALL TO THE PORTICO
The police offices at Stamford are this week being transferred from the Town-hall to the Portico.

Note. The Portico on High Street is now part of Stamford Library. The police station was sited in an adjoining building to the left of the Portico, between the Portico and Goldsmiths Lane, and is now part of the library. The clock above the entrance is there to this day (January 2025).
